More About the Tour
Our tour program starts at 16:00 - 17:00. We will pick you up from the security gate of your hotel and head towards the mysterious mountain, located 55 km from Kemer. The transfer is done by open-top jeeps, allowing you to enjoy the stunning views of the mountains covered with dense groves and the sea.
The first stop will be at the wild Çıralı beach, which is a protected area due to the endangered sea turtles that come here to lay their eggs. Near the beach are the ruins of the ancient city of Olympos. You can stroll along the beach, admire the beauty of nature, swim in the crystal-clear sea, or explore the ruins and discover something new and interesting.
After the walk, you will take your seats in the jeeps and head to the base of Mount Chimaera. To see the flames emerging from the earth, you will need to climb 800 meters up stone steps. Here, you will enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the coast, the city, and of course, the mountain itself, where large and small flames appear in various places. This sight becomes even more spectacular at night.

About the Sights
MOUNT CHIMAERA
Mount Chimaera is rightfully considered one of the most mysterious and mystical attractions in Turkey, existing here since ancient times. The flames emerging from the slopes have spawned many legends, the most famous of which was described by the ancient Greek poet Homer in the 6th chapter of the "Iliad". A ferocious fire-breathing monster terrorized the locals, but one day a brave warrior drove it underground. Since then, Chimaera has caused no harm, only spitting fire from its hiding place.
In reality, there are natural gas deposits in the depths of the mountain that seep through the porous surface and ignite.
Once, the flames reached up to 2 meters in height and served as a natural lighthouse for sailors; today, these mesmerizing sights attract tourists.
Your journey will start from the wild Olympos beach - a favorite place for the Caretta caretta sea turtles, and if you're lucky, you might see them too.
History and archaeology enthusiasts can wander through the ruins of the ancient town at the foot of the mountain, and as dusk falls, the most exciting part begins - an 800-meter climb up stone steps to the flames.
After a good walk, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the Ulupınar fish farm restaurant.
