More About the Tour
Dear tourists, please note that the Göynük Canyon tour from Kemer takes place twice a day, in the morning and in the afternoon.
In the morning (8:30-9:30), tourists are picked up in convertible buses, while in the afternoon (12:30-13:30) in jeeps.
However, unforeseen circumstances can occur, and for your convenience, we may replace the transport for transfers if necessary, for example, with minibuses.
At the appointed time, we will pick you up at the gate of your hotel and head to Beydağları National Park, where Göynük Canyon is located.
An advantage of this tour is the short transfer – just 10 km from the center of Kemer to the natural attraction.
Upon arrival at the main entrance to the canyon, you will receive your entrance tickets, and your journey through this amazing gorge will begin.
In Göynük Canyon, you will have 3 hours of free time to use as you wish.
You can leisurely stroll along the path by the river and enjoy the natural beauty, swim in the mountain lakes, or take a break at one of the cafes. Be sure to stop and take photos with the wooden eagle and mountain goat sculptures. If you are attentive, you might see these animals in real life as the reserve is their habitat.
You can also add some variety to your quiet and peaceful rest with more active and slightly extreme activities. For example, you can zip line over the chasm or continue exploring Göynük Canyon's attractions in less accessible places. To do this, you will need to take a boat ride or, donning a wetsuit, engage in body rafting and fight the rapid flow of the Beydağları mountain river. This is a kind of quest, a test of character and spirit, but for your efforts, you will be rewarded with simply stunning and even fantastic views that will open up before you and that you are unlikely to forget soon. You will see a huge boulder stuck between the rocks, grottoes, caves, and, of course, a huge waterfall waiting for those who did not give up halfway and did not turn back.
Be sure to pay attention to the steep cliffs of the canyon; they are unusual here, with colors ranging from snow-white to bright orange!
Turkey is rich in canyons. Göynük Canyon, with a length of 14 kilometers, a gorge width of no more than 6 meters, and a height of 350 meters, is not the largest representative of this natural wonder.
Moreover, all the most interesting things in Göynük Canyon are hidden from prying eyes, and only those brave enough to go body rafting or take a boat ride, which are not included in the tour price, can see this magnificence. This means additional costs in terms of time, as there are often queues due to the number of people wanting to participate and financial expense – body rafting costs from 35€, and boat rides from 25€.
If you love mountains and dynamic recreation, we recommend you definitely visit our excursions at affordable prices to Köprülü Canyon and Tazi Canyon, which are much larger, more picturesque, and spectacular. If desired, the Tazi Canyon tour can be combined with rafting and a convertible safari.
Three hours spent in Göynük Canyon will fly by unnoticed, and it's time to return to the gathering place, where the waiting transfer will take you back to the hotel.

About the Attractions
Canyons are rightly considered some of the most majestic and mysterious natural phenomena on the planet. They can be narrow or wide, long or winding, with steep cliffs covered in lush vegetation or, conversely, devoid of any greenery. The formation of a canyon takes millions of years, caused by collapses in the Earth's crust or sometimes by a mountain river carving its way through mountain ranges. A bright example is Göynük Canyon in southern Turkey, 7 km from Kemer.
Historical Reference
Göynük Canyon is attractive for lovers of scenic views, active walks, and extreme activities such as canyoning, rafting, or jeep safaris. The gorge, 14 kilometers long, is only 6 meters wide, while its height reaches 350 meters. Thousands of streams run down the stone walls, painted in black, white, and rusty orange colors, creating the impression on a sunny day that you are entering another world – unreal, fantastic…
Several thousand years ago, tribes settled in the valley around the gorge, deciding to change their nomadic lifestyle to a sedentary one. They named it Göynük, which translates as "fertile." For generations, people here have grown fruits and vegetables and fished. However, with the development of infrastructure, this area was made a National Park, starting near Cape Gelidonia and ending near the town of Sarısu.
How to Get to Göynük Canyon
The easiest and most accessible way to visit this unique attraction is to buy a tour and join an excursion group to enjoy the pristine natural beauty. The price includes transfer from all villages, entrance ticket, 3 hours of free time for walks, and swimming in the mountain lakes with crystal-clear and cool water. You will travel 2.5 km along mountain trails and then, renting a wetsuit, helmet, and rubber shoes, swim along the river into the gorge to the waterfall. Additionally, the National Park area has cozy restaurants where you can relax and order a delicious and hearty lunch of local dishes.
